'Northern Greenlanes' Editor Profile

My name is Brian Pratt, I am the Northern Greenlanes website editor.

I was born in Penrith, Westmoreland (now Cumbria). My family lived near Appleby until we decided to move to Lancashire.

After years owning various cars I decided to buy a four wheel drive - this subsequently got me interested in 'greenlaning'

I then joined the Greenlane Association (GLASS) in 1995 after building a Daihatsu F20 4x4 with a new body-shell supplied by IJF Developments . I became the Area Representative for the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales looking after vehicular rights of way in the region. Earlier in 1997 I became the Northern Bulletin Editor producing the magazine supplied to GLASS members. In March 2000 I left GLASS .

I have been a TRF member since 1996 and started trailriding on a Honda XLR250 then bought a Husqvarna TE410, this I recently sold and I am now getting back into road biking for a while.

I now concentrate on producing content (mainly news updates) for this - the 'Northern Greenlanes' website, this predominately contains 4x4 material but most new content is also geared towards trailriding.
